Block spirit Award
Do you live in or around Carnation, WA and is your block/street is awesome?
Enter the parade to represent your block/street and win Best Block Spirit of the Year!
For the Winning Block, every home on your block/street receives a prize a couple of weeks after the parade.
Judging:
Judging will be done loosely based on the following attributes:
18% Participation: Number of members of your block in your parade entry.
46% Spirit: General level of enthusiasm and fun from your entry.
23% Theme: How well your entry represents this year’s theme of “101 Carnations”
13% Block Name: Creativity and Expression of your Block Name (must include street name. Ex: The West Bird Birdies)
Questions:
How many homes make up a block?
We consider a block an area that has about thirty homes or less. If you are close to that number, please mail Joe@carnation4th.org to check if you qualify.
Does everyone on the block gets a gift delivered, not just those in the parade?
Yes. You all can celebrate together :)
When will they be delivered?
We are planning on delivering the prizes on Wednesday morning 7/17/24, but that may change.
Rules:
Your parade entry must have a prominent sign with the name of your block which includes your street name. (ex: The Friends of East Reitze)
Your block must be located in Carnation, WA city limits or be close by.
If you live close to Carnation but you do not live in city limits (ex: you still shop at IGA), email Joe@carnation4th.org to check if you qualify.
You must register as a parade entry.
If the fee is prohibitive, email joe@carnation4th.org.
